SAM SHEPARD (Playwright) had his first New York plays, Cowboys and The Rock Garden, produced by Theatre Genesis in 1963. Eleven of his plays have won Obie Awards, including Chicago, The Tooth of the Crime, and Curse of the Starving Class. Other award-winning plays include Buried Child (Pulitzer Prize, Obie), Fool for Love (Obie), and A Lie of the Mind (New York Drama Critics’ Circle, Outer Critics Circle). The 1996 Broadway revival of Buried Child was nominated for a Tony. Shepard’s latest play, A Particle of Dread, premiered in 2014 at Signature. As writer/director, he filmed Far North and Silent Tongue. As an actor he has appeared in numerous films, including The Right Stuff and Black Hawk Down, and can currently be seen in the Netflix series Bloodline. Shepard was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters, received the Gold Medal for Drama from the Academy, and was inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame.
SCOTT ELLIOT (Director) is an award-winning stage director, filmmaker and the founding Artistic Director of The New Group, where he most recently directed the critically-acclaimed Mercury Fur by Philip Ridley and The Spoils by Jesse Eisenberg. Also at The New Group, he has directed works by Thomas Bradshaw, Ayub Khan Din, Francine Volpe, Erika Sheffer, Tommy Nohilly, Joe Orton, Mike Leigh, David Rabe and Wallace Shawn.

SUSAN HILFERTY (Costume Design). Over 300 productions across the globe. Wicked earned her the triple crown: Tony, OCC and Drama Desk awards. Her many awards include the Obie (Sustained Excellence in Design). For TNG: Mourning Becomes Electra, Sticks and Bones, The Spoils, Mercury Fur. Directorial collaborators include Akalaitis, Alágic, Laurie Anderson, Arbus, Ashley, Bobbie, Bogart, Eustis, Edelstein, Elliot, Ellis, Falls, Yaël Farber, Galati, Hynes, Kushner, Lamos, Lapine, Mann, Mantello, Mayer, McAnuff, McClinton, Richard Nelson, Pepe, Perloff, Rothman, Sher, Dan Sullivan, Taichman, Woodruff, Doug Wright and the late Garland Wright. Works with South African playwright Athol Fugard for thirty years (set/costume designer and co-director).
