WHAT IS DARK NIGHTS AT
THE NEW GROUP?

Dark Nights at The New Group offers unique programming and enlightened conversation to complement and coincide with our company's mainstage productions. In four to six events each season, Dark Nights seeks to create a forum for public conversation and dialogue between artists and audience, thereby enhancing the cultural landscape.

Dark Nights of the 2012-13 Season

February 24th at 6pm
Stand-up Center Stage

Janeane Garafolo    Mario Cantone
Susan Blackwell    Judy Gold

New York of late has seen more cross-over between the world of stand-up and so-called "legit" theatre. Join the brilliant stand-ups/actors Janeane Garofalo (seen last season in The New Group's Russian Transport), Mario Cantone (Assassins, Laugh Whore) and Judy Gold (The Judy Show - My Life as a Sitcome, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother) as they compare working onstage in these two seemingly unlike forms. The discussion will be moderated by the acclaimed and incomparable Susan Blackwell (The New Group's The Kid, title of show).

To RSVP please email seats@thenewgroup.org.
